Woonerf Inc. is pleased to announce that Ryoji Nakayama, Leader of the Sustainable Community Unit, will serve as a session speaker at the Greenbuild International Conference + Expo 2026, one of the world’s largest events dedicated to green building and sustainable development, taking place in New York City, USA, from October 20 to 23, 2026.

Nakayama will participate in the session titled “Nature-Positive Development: Aligning Policy, Finance, and Design for Resilient Communities,” where he will discuss approaches to sustainable urban and community development through a nature-positive lens.

The session will bring together representatives from municipal governments, financial institutions, regenerative design practices, and certification organizations to exchange perspectives on biodiversity restoration, climate adaptation, public health, and resilience. The discussion will also explore emerging nature-related disclosure frameworks, including the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), as well as the role of certification systems such as LEED, SITES, and LEED for Cities in advancing nature-positive outcomes across the built environment.
