1. What is JUST
Operated by International Living Future Institute, whose HQ is in Seattle in the US, JUST is a nutrition label for socially JUST and equitable organizations. As a voluntary disclosure tool for organizations rather than a certification program, it is a transparency platform for organizations to disclose their operations, including how they treat their employees and where they make financial and community investments.
There are 187 active JUST organizations in the world as of June 2024.
Goals of the JUST program:
- to elevate the discussion around social Justice concerns in all organizations,
- to create a common language and measurement framework for social justice issues,
- help create more impact for people and organizations who are leading on those social Justice issues
- to improve the H.R. policies and practices of thousands of organizations worldwide,
- to make life better for workers from all walks of life.
